JDA U9s Impress on Visit to Southampton
Another Professional Academy Experience
Our U9s continued a brilliant start to the 2026/27 season with a trip to Southampton for another opportunity to test themselves against professional academy opposition.
The visit marked the group's third professional academy experience of September alone, following trips to Fulham and Brentford earlier in the month.
It has been an incredible run of opportunities for the boys and another chance to experience a top academy environment.
Outstanding Performances
Across four games against Southampton, the boys were excellent.
JDA won three of the four fixtures, producing some outstanding football and showing the quality this group is capable of when playing at their best.
Goals were shared throughout the team, with the players combining brilliantly, playing with confidence and competing at a really high level across the visit.
Testing Ourselves at Another Level
The results were fantastic, but these experiences are about far more than simply winning games.
Regular opportunities to face professional academy opposition allow our players to experience different challenges, test their development against high-quality players and continue learning in environments outside of their usual weekly football.
For our U9s to have already visited three professional academies during September is something we're extremely proud to be able to provide.
A Brilliant Day at Southampton
From arriving at Southampton's training ground to stepping onto the pitch and producing four excellent performances, it was another memorable experience for the group.
A huge well done to every player for the way they represented JDA throughout the visit, and a big thank you to Southampton for inviting us down and providing another fantastic opportunity for our players.
Three professional academy visits in one month – and another brilliant chapter in what is already shaping up to be a very exciting season for our U9s.
